BMW is releasing four videos that tell the story of the M3 starting with the first one—the E30 M3. The first video contains some interesting facts as well as eye candy for the E30 M3 fans, or BMW enthusiasts in general.
There is no special occasion that the videos are commemorating. However, BMW may be releasing them as a lead-in to the presentation of the new BMW M2 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2016. The M2 is being touted by BMW as the spiritual successor to the M3. It’s a fair comparison, since the new M2 is closer in size and performance to the earlier M3s than the current M3/M4s are.
