BMW News

Everyone is quite aware of BMW's M brand—the M3 is one of the most famous cars ever produced. More recently, BMW has put the M Performance brand on parts—and entire vehicles—in order to transfer what they have learned on the race track to their vehicles for the street. And now, following the launch of the BMW i brand a few years ago, they are announcing the BMW iPerformance line-up of plug-in hybrid vehicles.

In this BMW film, they explain the differences between a hybrid and a combustion engine in your everyday life. The new iPerformance model designation will be given to all BMW plug-in hybrid vehicles from July 2016. The iPerformance models will benefit from the transfer of technical expertise regarding electric motors, battery cells and electronic control systems.
