BMW News

Lovers of BMWs, sports cars, convertibles, and hybrids were excited with the recent reports that BMW will be turning the BMW i8 Concept Spyder into an honest-to-goodness production car that people—who can afford one—may actually buy and drive on the street.

Based on the BMW i8 plug-in hybrid sports car, the i8 Spyder will maintain the overall look of the i8, and will keep the butterfly doors, but will also have its own special design features. The reports on the i8 Spyder did not specify if the convertible top will be retractable or removable, or hard or soft.

What we know for certain is that with the top down—or off—the car will be stunning.

As proof, here is video showing the BMW i8 Concept Spyder in motion. Enjoy.—Scott Blazey.
