Turner Motorsport Z4 GT3 racer Bret Curtis finished second in GTA in the Pirelli World Challenge series’ second GT/GTA/GTC race at Barber Motorsports Park on April 26. It was the team’s best finish of the season to date, marking a dramatic rebound from the previous week, when Curtis lost a clutch on the grid at Long Beach and was unable to start the race.

Curtis’ teammate Bill Ziegler, who had also dropped out early at Long Beach, finished thirteenth in class in race two; the GTA winner was Nissan GT-R GT3 racer Bryan Heitkotter. In race one on Saturday Curtis and Ziegler finished seventh and ninth respectively in GTA; Martin Fuentes took the class win in a Ferrari 458 GT3 Italia.

The overall race win on Saturday went to James Davison in a Nissan GT-R GT3. After failing post-race inspection he lost his points and was fined but was still recorded as the winner. Kevin Estre won race two in a McLaren 650S GT3.
