The BMW CCA Foundation has established a memorial fund in honor of Frank Patek Sr.—father of BMW CCA Executive Director Frank Patek—to ensure that his life and legacy lives on at the BMW Car Club of America.

Patek, 78, died Tuesday, February 17, in UPMC East, Monroeville just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania following his battle with cancer.

Patek was an Allegheny Chapter member and regularly attended the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix and many other Club events including Oktoberfest with his beloved wife Rose Patek.  He was a United States Army veteran who enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing horseshoes and spending time with his family.

Patek enjoyed volunteering at Friends Thrift Shop in Export where he was a member of the Board of Directors. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved him.

The Frank Patek Sr. Memorial Fund is being established at the BMW CCA Foundation to support the Street Survival® teen driving program.
