Jesse Krohn, Jörg Müller, and Marco Wittmann scored the first win for the BMW M6 GT3 in the third race of the VLN Endurance Championship season at Germany's famous Nürburgring.

In fact, the M6 GT3 swept the podium in the race! The winning #31 Schubert Motorsport M6 GT3, started from the pole by Krohn, was followed across the line by the #39 Schubert car with IMSA racers John Edwards and Lucas Luhr at the controls along with DTM racer Martin Tomczyk. The #36 Walkenhorst M6 GT3 driven by Tom Blomqvist, Victor Bouveng, and Christian Krognes rounded out the podium with a third place finish.

The VLN enduro was a prelude to the May 28-29 Nürburgring 24-hour race.

Schubert Motorsport team principal Torsten Schubert said “This win was just reward for the hard work put in by my team over the last few days. We gave our all to give the cars the best preparation for the 24-hour-race and everything went well today. I think it was good to test what speed we can reach in racing trim. Being the first team to win a race in the BMW M6 GT3 is a special honor for us.”—Brian S. Morgan
