Ashley Freiberg and Trent Hindman in the #46 Fall-Line M3 won the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge season finale at Road Atlanta on October 2. The victory, which was the team’s first of the season, came in very difficult conditions. The race began in light rain, with most cars on slicks. Many racers pitted early for rain tires. Conditions worsened over the course of the race, with a number of cars going off course and multiple yellow flag periods.  Racers said afterward that conditions were treacherous near the end.

Freiberg started eighth, soon moved up to seventh, and was running second when she handed off to 2014 champion Hindman. Hindman came in for a stop under yellow and moved into the lead on a pit stop with just over an hour remaining in the race. He held on for the win, finishing ahead of Grand Sport championship winners Robin Liddell and Andrew Davis.

It was a good day for BMW Group in the Street Tuner class as well. Mat Pombo and Derek Jones started from the back of the grid and finished second in the #73 Mini John Cooper Works Team Mini JCW, and Terry Borcheller and Mike LaMarra finished third in the #23 Burton Racing BMW 128i. The class win went to Paul Holton and Kyle Gimple in an Audi A3.
