Quite a few automotive awards are handed out throughout the year, but most are decided by panels consisting of journalists or other automotive professionals. The awards that should mean the most to manufacturer's, however, are the ones that are award by readers' polls. Last week German motoring magazine Sport Auto announced the winners of their readers' poll for the Most Sporting Cars Of 2014—and BMW walked away with six awards, five of which were class winners.

The new BMW M3 sedan and M4 coupe showed that the BMW M division has developed a couple of fantastic cars; they showed their superiority by winning the Saloons/Estates Up To €100,000 and Coupés Up To €100,000 awards respectively. Here are the the BMW's that earned awards:

  • Winner – Compact Cars BMW M135i
  • Winner – Saloons/Estates up to €50,000 BMW 335i
  • Winner – Saloons/Estates up to €100,000 BMW M3 Sedan

As we get into Auto Show season, there is a pretty good chance that BMW will need to create some room in the BMW trophy cabinet.—Nate Risch
