Every year the 67 chapters of the BMW CCA raise money for charity through organized driving and social events. Last year our chapters raised a total of $217,589 for over 40 individual charities. Congratulations are in order for the Tarheel Chapter, which raised $29,729! Coming in second was the Del Valley Chapter, with $27,626, and third went to Boston, with $16,425 raised for their favorite charities.
The chapter's really stepped up this year with contributions totaling almost $120,000! Other charities that benefited from the donations included the Michael J. Fox Foundation which received $24,729 from the Tarheel Chapter and the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation with $17,101.
In an effort to promote these types of activities, the National Office has added to each chapter's charitable contributions with a portion of the $20,000 dedicated by the Club to matching chapter donations. The funds will be distributed based on a prorated basis.
