Fans of both Formula 1 and sports car racing in the 1960s and '70s will recognize Brian Redman's name, as will fans of a certain 3.0CSL racecar; Redman was a key player in the 1975 and 1976 IMSA GT seasons, where his immense driving talent helped secure the famous victories at the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Daytona in '75 and '76, respectively. These victories were also made possible by the now-legendary #25 CSL, which marked both BMW of North America's inception and racing debut 40 years ago.

Students of contemporary motorsports and BMW's competition history since the 1990s will know 20-year BMW motorsports veteran Bill Auberlen. In addition to competing in various IMSA series' in the United States (certain enthusiasts will remember the beloved E36, E46, and E92 M3 racecars that bore his name), Auberlen has also raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (piloting the BMW V12 LMR) and has four overall championship wins with BMW. He has competed in over 300 races with the manufacturer, currently drives a Z4 GTLM in the TUDOR United SportsCar Challenge series, and holds the esteemed status of BMW's winningest driver.
