Bret Curtis, driving the #32 Turner Motorsport Z4 GT3, finished a strong second in the GTA class in the Saturday Pirelli World Challenge race on the Belle Isle circuit in Detroit. Curtis moved up seven positions at the start and held off a hard-charging Christina Nielsen in an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 for his second-place finish. It was Curtis’ second trip to the podium this season; he finished second at Barber Motorsports Park in April.

Curtis’ Turner Motorsport teammate Bill Ziegler in the #95 Turner Z4 finished tenth in class. The GTA class win went to Ferrari 458 GT3 Italia racer Henrique Cisneros, and the overall win went to Kevin Estre in a McLaren 650S GT3.

The second PWC race of the weekend in Detroit, scheduled for Sunday May 31, was canceled because of inclement weather conditions.
