BMW News

As you've heard, BMW went all-in with their "Newfangled Idea" Super Bowl ad this year with a prominent time-slot featuring two very recognizable celebrities in Katie Couric and Bryant Gumbel. The beginning of the ad showed the two talking back in 1994 about an internet address and what the @ symbol meant, finally asking their off-camera assistant if she could explain what the internet is. They then transitioned into modern day where they are driving in a new BMW i3 and asking what is i3 anyway?

Well BMW wants to make sure that their customers don't have any questions about the BMW i brand and its vehicles. Thus they have created The Circuit, The Official BMW i Forum. It's a traditional forum that is broken up into multiple categories that include: Upcoming EVents, Latest News, BMW i3, BMW i3 REx, BMW i8, General Discussion on EV Life, and Ask BMW.

BMW USA have done this before with the ActiveE Electronaut program where community members could discuss their vehicles with others. Discussions covered quite a few topics with members exchanging info on best practices for extending range, how to get the quickest charge, and maintenance. Some of the things that were discussed in this forum reportedly had an effect on some of the features of the i3.

Thus if you are interested in finding out more about the BMW i brand, which includes the i3 and i8, head on over to The Circuit to read about actual experiences from actual customers.Nate Risch
