Club News

The BMW CCA Foundation is pleased to announce we will be a sponsor at the European Auto Festival at the BMW Manufacturing plant on Saturday, October 18, 2014.  October will mark our one year anniversary in our new home near BMW.  We will hold our first annual open house event on Friday, October 17, 2014 from 10am to 4pm.  Although we are holding this open house in conjunction with Euro, you do not need to be a registrant at Euro to attend our open house.  Everyone is welcome to visit.

If you haven’t seen our new office with our museum or if it has been a few months since your last visit, you will be surprised with the progress we have made.  We have a lot of wonderful cars lined up to be on display during our open house.  There isn’t a charge to attend the open house.  However, we do ask that you register so we can be sure we have enough staff on hand during the day. To register, please visit http://www.bmwccafoundationstore.com/index.php/ornament-i8.html

We hope you can make it to our open house, but if you can’t, be sure to visit our booth on the field at Euro the following day. Unfortunately, the Foundation office/museum will be closed on Saturday while we are at Euro.

New in our online store:

We have our first hand crafted limited edition Pewter holiday ornament.  This beautiful ornament shows the BMW i8 and comes in a velvet box.  These are individually numbered on the back and limited to 100.  Get them while they last.

We have been busy adding merchandise to our store the past few months.  Check out the “Recently Added” categories from each month to find model cars, clothing, glassware, and more.  If you are into other marques, we have also acquired a large collection of posters from the 80s for Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Alfas, Corvette, and so much more.

Since moving into our new building last year, our collection continues to grow.  To check out some of the items in our collection, please visit http://bmwcca.pastperfect-online.com/38856cgi/mweb.exe?request=ks

We appreciate everyone thinking of the Foundation when they want to find a new home for his/her BMW items.  If you have some BMW items that you wish to donate, please contact us, we would love to talk with you.  We are collecting just about everything BMW related – brochures, books, manuals, posters/artwork, magazines (sorry, we have enough Roundels, we don’t need anymore – but we do want your chapter newsletters!), memorabilia, model cars, clothing, Oktoberfest memorabilia, and so much more.  We are interested in BMW cars, motorcycles, and MINI. Before you throw it out, talk with us.  We even have a couple cars in our collection.

One project we are working on for 2016, we want model (motorcycles and cars) display for the 100th Anniversary of BMW.  100 cars for 100 years.  We have a nice start for this display from a couple collectors that made donations.  Do you have something laying around in a box?  Let’s talk.
