The BMW factory supported West Surrey Racing Team has won the 2017 British Touring Car Championship team and manufacturers’ titles.

WSR secured the titles at the BTCC season finale at Brands Hatch, where Colin Turkington’s win in race two was the team’s best performance of the weekend. Turkington had finished fifteenth in race one and dropped out of race three. His teammate Andrew Jordan’s best was thirteenth in race three. The WSR team’s third driver, Rob Collard, withdrew from the Brands Hatch event for medical reasons as he was recovering from the impact of an incident two weeks earlier at Silverstone.
