BMW News

Some people hate BMWs because they don’t like their looks, or the cost, or the maintenance, or their drivers, or just because. We all know that and many of us have run into those BMW haters. Not literally—most of the time.

So we know how some Apple product users feel when iPhone haters don’t like iPhones because of their looks, or the cost, or their battery life, or their users, or just because.

Lately the Apple haters have been out in force since the introduction of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, especially when some of them heard that some iPhone 6 Plus’s have been bending under hard or unusual use. Come to think of it, that’s a pretty good reason to hate the iPhone 6 Plus. But is it really as fragile as its critics claim?

Here’s where the BMW part of the story comes in. The maker of the video below took a new iPhone 6 Plus, and ran over it with an E60 BMW 5 Series. So what happened? Here’s a spoiler: the 5 Series survived. Its clutch didn’t disintegrate and the VANOS did not explode.

The iPhone?... You’ll have to watch the video to see the results.

Now if you don't give a rip about iPhones, you may still want to watch the video, just to get a rock's-eye view of what it looks like to be run over by a 5 Series.—Scott Blazey
