Ashley Freiberg will drive a Turner Motorsport M6 GT3 at the 24 Hours of Daytona. Freiberg will race Turner’s #96 M6 GT3 along with Bret Curtis, Jens Klingmann, and Marco Wittmann.

Curtis and Klingmann will race the car for the entire season. Freiberg, who continues this season as a BMW of North America Scholarship driver, will also race with Turner in the other North American Endurance Championship events at Sebring, Watkins Glen, and Road Atlanta.

Freiberg co-drove the #46 Fall-Line M3 with Trent Hindman in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series in 2015. The duo won the season finale at Road Atlanta. 2016 plans for Hindman, a BMW Junior, have not yet been announced.

Freiberg said, "I really can't find the words to describe how thankful I am for this incredible opportunity. So many dreams of mine are all coming true at once. To be able to race in my first Daytona 24 Hour race, with a championship-winning team, with great teammates, in the new BMW M6 GT3 is just so exciting. It is an honor to continue my relationship with BMW of North America as a Scholarship Driver and with IHG Rewards Club.”

The Turner team will test its M6 GT3s at the Roar Before the Rolex 24 on January 8-10, and will open its season with the two cars at the Rolex 24 on January 30-31.—Brian S. Morgan
