No matter where you live, or which of our 67 chapters is your home base, the BMW Car Club of Americahas a wealth of activities planned for enthusiasts coast-to-coast in 2011. From the South Atlantic Region to Monterey, from Pittsburgh to our Oktoberfest celebration in Alabama, our members have a lot of great driving to do this summer! Lets start the season right!

 

September 2-5: BMW CCA car corral set for Lime Rock on Labor Day weekend

“Historic Festival 29” called East Coast vintage highlight of 2011

Even more exciting than the 2010 event, the Historic Festival at Lime Rock Park will see sprint races for ten groups, a prewar race group, Formula Atlantic/Formula 2 races, and more than 100 MGs. (Historic Festival 29 is the MG Club’s focus event for 2011.) Also expect a big presence from Jaguar, as it celebrates the 50th anniversary of the E-Type and the 60th of the marque’s first win at Le Mans.

Please join your fellow BMW CCA members at the Historic Festival at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut. The Festival is a four-day event, running from Friday, September 2 through Monday, September 5. BMW corral ticket-holders will get preferred parking and a chance to participate in a parade lap on Saturday or Monday.

September 2–4: BMW corral at the BaltimoreGrand Prix

The National Capital Chapter will be hosting a corral for the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) race held Labor Day weekend in Baltimore, Maryland. Let's support the BMW Team RLL M3s that will be out to win again in 2011! The BMW CCA corral will be adjacent to the ALMS paddock, with tickets that provide excellent viewing of all the races.Your ticket will also include:

1) Reserved Grandstand seating at Turn 10 with additional Jumbotron screen viewing

2) Pit and paddock passes

3) On-track parade laps

September 15-19, 2011: The Grand Tour

You're cordially invited to join BMW CCA in "The Grand Tour," a four-day weekend extravaganza of the best the Midwesthas to offer! As you trace the Lake Michigan shoreline, you'll revisit our rich transportation history, savor culinary gems, and unwind at premium resorts each night—not to mention exercising your BMW along scenic byways of Wisconsin and Michigan!

The event launches from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, on Thursday, September 15, 2011, with a choice of "destination" tours en route to SturgeonBayin beautiful DoorCounty. Friday's destination is the historic Mackinac Island and history-making MackinacBridge. Saturday combines extraordinary driving roads, picturesque villages for shopping and sightseeing, and, of course, breathtaking vistas all day long. After spending the night at a secluded resort from a bygone era, Sunday, September 18, concludes at the incomparable GilmoreCarMuseum, situated between Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Battle Creek.

The event will offer you a choice of dining and lodging options to cater to individual tastes and budgets. You can choose to experience the entire event or selected portions of it, based on your personal schedule. You will travel a prescribed route in a small group, before converging for lunch or overnight stops. October 10–16: Oktoberfest 2011 at Barber Motorsports in Birmingham, Alabama

If you’re serious about the BMW lifestyle and in need of a little blue and white “immersion” therapy, then get ready for BMW CCA’s Oktoberfest 2011. This year we’re heading to Birmingham, Alabamaand Barber Motorsports. Why Barber Motorsports? “Because our members are passionate about driving”, says Frank Patek, Executive Director of the BMW CCA. Members from all over the country will converge on Birminghamin October -- October 10-16, to be more specific -- for O’Fest 2011.

Monday kicks off with an evening welcome party, where you can meet your competition for Tuesday’s Sonax concours d’Elegance. On Wednesday, get ready to hit the accelerator! From that point forward, it’s all about driving: rallying, car-control clinics, the gymkhana, driving schools, autocross and BMW CCA Club Racing. This also means test drives in the latest and greatest Munichhas to offer and the chance to catch a ride around one of the most beautiful race tracks in North America.

October 29–November 6: Hilton Head Concours d’Elegance and Motoring Festival.

This year the BMW Group will be the featured marque at the Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance and Motoring Festival, which celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2011. The BMW Group is a founding sponsor of this event; the Hilton Head IslandConcours d’Elegance and Motoring Festival will feature all of the BMW Group brands, including BMW, Mini, and Rolls-Royce, as well as BMW Motorrad.

As in years past, activities will include displays and customer ride-and-drive opportunities, as well as a celebration of BMW’s rich motorsports heritage. Dates of the 2011 Hilton Head IslandConcours d’Elegance and Motoring Festival are Saturday, November 5 through Sunday, November 6.

It will again be preceded by the Hilton Head/Savannah Speed Classic vintage-race weekend, Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30.
