Vita4One Racing, a team that has run Z4s in various series in Europe, has entered a Z4 GT3 in the Pirelli World Challenge race in St. Petersburg, Florida on March 28-30. The car is entered for team principal Michael Bartels.

The entry list for Pirelli World Challenge, which has added FIA GT3 cars to its eligibility list, has grown this year. Z4 GT3s can run in FIA spec trim in World Challenge. In contrast, in the Tudor Uniited SportsCar Championship, Z4s like Turner Motorsport’s GTD car have to make a number of changes from GT3 specs.

The Z4 will be up against formidable competition in the Pirelli World Challenge GT class, including the returning championship-winning Cadillac GTS along with a host of GT cars that includes the Audi R8, Corvette, McLaren 12C, Lamborghini Gallardo, and Ferrari 458.

The Vita4One car is the first Z4 to be entered in PWC competition this season. While the car appears on the entry list, its presence is not yet 100% guaranteed. Sportscar365.com notes that the team has not provided any details on its program. Also, the team entered the 12 Hours of Bathurst earlier this year, but withdrew before the race.
