Club News

If you weren't at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix this past weekend you missed out big time! The Allegheny Chapter knows how to put on one heck of a corral and picnic. In fact, everyone wanted to join the party and as a result, the club gained 68 new members during the event.

Over the span of the two-day corral, several thousand people converged on German Hill to participate in the BMW CCA festivities. Those in attendance enjoyed a catered lunch, ice cold Spaten and more vintage racing than you could shake a dipstick at. There wasn't a single person who left the CCA corral without an arm full of freebies from our sponsors including Sonax, Spaten and Liberty Mutual.

And did we mention our special guests? Jonathan Summerton of BMW Team RLL and Mike Renner of the BMW Performance Center both attended the corral. Summerton was on hand to meet and greet club members and Renner was gracious enough to give charity rides in the 2013 M5. It was also great to have BMW CCA President Bruce Hazard, Executive Vice-President Steve Johnson, North Atlantic Regional Vice President John Sullivan, and North Central Regional Vice President Mike Lingenfelter on hand.

A huge thanks goes out to all of those who volunteered their time to make this event an epic success. We can't wait to do it again next year!
