Colorado provides us with a unique location to appreciate new kinds of outdoor adventures during Oktoberfest! We have teamed up with an exclusive five-star resort—Kessler Canyon—to experience the best of everything in outdoor Colorado! Expand your horizons beyond the track to enjoy different kinds of exciting, outdoor adventures!
Drivers will savor a traditional Western barbecue on Wednesday after their two-hour scenic journey to Kessler Canyon, followed by activities such as BMW off-roading, target shooting, and fly-fishing in Kessler’s own private Orchard Lake. (Of course, TSD rallyists will arrive by their own scenic route!)
We will contact everyone who registers for Kessler Canyon shortly to obtain your preference for these activities. First come, first served as spaces are limited.
BMW X Vehicle Off-roading: BMW NA will provide us with various X vehicles for our members to appreciate the breath-taking canyons, mesas, and other fascinating terrain which surrounds the resort during a 30-minute guided off-roading experience. Free $, limited registration.
Target Shooting: Members may choose to register for indoor target shooting in Kessler’s private Shooting Academy. Guests will be given the opportunity for shooting with a variety of pistols and rifles in this private setting. The cost includes 2 rounds of sporting clays, and one box of pistol or rifle ammo. There will be supervision from professional instructors on site. Fee $75/pp, limited registration.
Fly-fishing at Orchard Lake: For the anglers, we are offering on-site fly-fishing in Kessler’s private Orchard Lake. Guests will receive the use of fly-fishing equipment accompanied by an instructor to ensure safety and a wonderful experience for all. Orchard Lake is right on the site, and you can enjoy visiting with your friends while you fish! Fee $50/pp, limited registration.
Foundation Golf Tournament: Whether you are an avid golfer, or a new beginner, you will enjoy the camaraderie of our first annual Foundation Charity Golf Tournament at the Beaver Creek Golf Club. You may rent your clubs, and just pack shoes, and a polo shirt to participate. BMW NA has generously offered the chance to win a new hybrid i8 during our “Hole in One” contest—which will be present on site. We have designed a “best ball’ contest to encourage fun, and maximize the speed of play. Fee $200/per person; $65/club rental; registration limited to 100 golfers.
Concours: Those interested in playing golf and participating in the Tuesday Concours—which will also be held at the Beaver Creek Golf Club—will be able to drop their keys with our valet service and head out to the links after preparing their car to be judged, or just displayed. The valet will assist in opening doors for the judging competition, if needed. Participants and spectators of the Golf Tournament and Concours will savor the many interesting food and beverage concessions offered by the Golf Club. Fee $25 judged only; display free; food & beverage cost at own expense.
Autocross and Car Control: We still have openings for Autocross on Thursday and Friday, as well as openings in Car Control on Thursday for those interested in the more traditional Oktoberfest activities. We will have exclusive access to various parking lots adjacent to the Beaver Creek Village for our competitions, and we encourage all of our members to come enjoy! AutoX $35/pp; CarControl $50/pp
