Ganassi Racing will be back to defend its 2012 Grand-Am titles, with Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas once again campaigning the team’s Riley-BMW. The team will once again run Dinan-prepared S62 V8s.

Ganassi has also announced that it will run two cars at Daytona. Seven of its 2012 Rolex 24 drivers are returning, but driver lineups within cars will change. Pruett and Rojas will team with Ganassi NASCAR racer Juan Pablo Montoya and the team’s Indy Car racer Charlie Kimball. Ganassi Indy Car racers Dario Franchitti and Scott Dixon will once again team with NASCAR racer Jamie McMurray; the fourth driver in their car this year will be Joey Hand.

Last year Hand co-drove at the Rolex 24 with Pruett and Rojas, with Graham Rahal as a fourth driver. Rahal has moved from Ganassi to his father’s Indy Car team. Montoya was in the car with Franchitti, Dixon, and McMurray in 2012.

BMW NA president Ludwig Willisch said, “BMW of North America, LLC is pleased to continue our support of Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates for the 2013 GRAND-AM season. Since 2010, BMW has powered the team to two Daytona Prototype manufacturer championships and three consecutive driver and team titles, as well as a 1-2 overall finish at the 2011 Rolex 24 at Daytona. I am anticipating a great start to BMWNA’s 38th season in motorsport at this year’s Rolex 24.”—Brian S. Morgan
