Incumbent North Atlantic RVP, John Sullivan, JR re-elected over Scott Stowell by a margin of 29 votes. 
 
When voting closed on Thursday, February 28, incumbent North Atlantic Region Vice President John Sullivan had 444 votes, while Scott Stowell had 415 votes. The Club would like to thank both candidates for their dedication and spirit of volunteerism, and also congratulate Sullivan on his victory in the election. Without our volunteer leadership, we would not be the Club we are today!
 
Nick Owen New Pacific RVP; Louis Goldsman Remains Treasurer
 
Both Nick Owen and Louis Goldsman ran unopposed for their respective positions. In accordance with Article 5, Section 7 of the BMW Car Club of America by-laws, ballots were not submitted for the position of Treasurer and Pacific Region Vice-President, as those positions were unopposed.
 
*Article 5. Elections
Section 7. In those elections where there is only one candidate for each and every office covered by the election the Board of Directors need not follow the provisions of Section 4 above. In such case the Board of Directors shall announce the names of the candidates running for office without opposition in Roundel; voting need not be required. The Board of Directors shall ratify the election of the candidates at the annual meeting. 
 
About the North Atlantic RVP Election
 
North Atlantic Region members voted by using the paper ballot cards mailed with their January Roundel; additional paper ballots were available from the National Office. 
 
Members had to be in good standing as of December 15, 2012, to vote in the election. Voting opened on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, and closed Thursday, February 28, 2013, at noon Eastern Standard Time.
