Well, I am not normally in favor of a good ol’ cathartic rant, but a few things have really irked me in the past month, and my thoughts keep coming back to them. My apologies in advance, but I need to vent like the wastegate from an over-boosted turbo (yes, that cheesy simile has already made me feel better).

During the season, when you are traveling from race to race, with nothing but race wins and winning the championship on your mind, it can be easy to just focus on the expectations and pressure to produce results.

Earlier this month, the BMW Z4 GTLM turned its wheels in anger for a final time as BMW of North America’s entry of choice for the Tudor United SportsCar Championship. Sadly for both the Z4 GTLM and race fans, the closing race of the season was a rain-soaked series of caution laps around a flooded Road Atlanta, where a canoe might have sufficed for an entry in the Petit Le Mans.
