Beeline Cruise-in, Payson

October 10, 2025 to October 12, 2025
Chapter:
A weekend trip to enjoy the beauty of the Tonto National Forest and the 32nd annual Beeline Cruise-in Car show in Payson. We will meet Friday at 9:00 AM at the In and Out, 11545 N Oracle Rd. We will depart at 9:30AM. Our first stop will be in Globe to eat at The Copper Bistro. FYI there is a Shell station about 1/2 mile before we reach The Copper Bistro, for anyone that needs to fuel or top off their tank. Then it is off to Payson. Once we reach Payson and everyone is settled in, we will enjoy a group dinner at El Rodeo Mexican Cantina & Restaurant. Saturday is the car show at Green Valley Park in Payson. This show usually attracts between 200 to 300 vehicles, so there will be plenty to see. After spending the day at the car show and or exploring the Payson area, we will once again enjoy a dinner. It will be at the Backwoods Bar & Grill. The Drive: The drive from Oro Valley to Payson is approximately 3 hours and 170 miles. The first leg from Oro Valley to the Globe area will take about 1hour and 40 minutes and is 92 miles. The second leg from Globe to Payson will take about 1 hour and 20 minutes and is 78 miles. Our route will avoid any major highways, taking AZ-77 to AZ-60 to AZ-188 to AZ-87. There will be detailed route instructions for everyone. Lodging: There are many lodging options in Payson. The 3 main hotels are The Quality Inn, The Comfort Inn and the Best Western of Payson. These hotels do fill up pretty quickly for the weekend of the car show. Car Show: The 32 Annual Beeline Cruise-in car show is open to any vehicle model year 2000 and older. If you are interested in showing your classic, you can find more information at rimcountryclassicautoclub.com. They have an optional event on Friday for show participants. Also, feel free to reach out to me (njcoopnj@comcast.net), as I have participated in the show. Dining: Friday– lunch at The Copper Bistro and dinner at El Rodeo Mexican Cantina & Restaurant. Saturday-dinner at Backwoods Bar & Grill. There are many food options in Payson. I have personally enjoyed breakfast at The Pinon Cafe and The Beeline Cafe.
