2025 Red River Gorge / Natural Bridge

May 18, 2025
Chapter:
Buckeye Chapter Members, We are pleased announce the Red River Gorge / Natural Bridge Driving Tour, which is new for 2025. This tour features many of Kentucky’s most beautiful attractions by traveling through the Red River Gorge, a canyon system on the Red River in East-Central Kentucky. This geological treasure is part of the Pottsville Escarpment and the Daniel Boone National Forest. The nationally famous Red River Gorge Geological Area is an incredible 29,000 acres of breathtaking scenery and endless outdoor adventures. On this route, we will travel through bridges, mountains, curves, along lakes and rivers, and many other natural attractions. For 2025 and beyond, difficulty levels will be specified for each driving tour. Difficulty levels take into consideration the number and types of turns, elevation changes, tour duration, and the potential for motion sickness. This is especially important for drivers who are considering passengers. Level 1 is low, Level 2 is medium, and Level 3 is high. Red River Gorge / Natural Bridge is a Level 2 driving tour. What to drive? BMW club members are also automotive enthusiasts at heart. Many own multiple brands and models of vehicles. We encourage you to drive the vehicle of your choice and enjoy the experience. Preregistration is required via Track Rabbit at this link. This is necessary to get an accurate count of drivers and guests, and to determine drive groups and staffing at the restaurant. The BMW CCA Electronic Waiver is required via this link. The waiver requires a digital signature and photograph, thus a mobile device is best for this step. Note: Preregistration DOES NOT take the place of driving event waivers. All Participants MUST electronically sign the waiver form BEFORE starting the tour. The tour will originate at Cross Roads Centre in Stanton, KY, located off the Bert T Combs Mountain Parkway at Exit 22. We will meet at 8:30 AM, get situated, fuel up, confirm waiver signatures, and drivers can begin the route around 9:00 AM. The morning segment is 118-miles south and east to the Natural Bridge Hemlock Lodge where we will stop for lunch and relaxation. An expansive paved parking area is located immediately next to the lodge and restaurant. The afternoon segment is 132-miles to Maysville, Kentucky for a final gathering at Tumbleweed Grill and Margarita Bar. Parking is located around the perimeter of the building.
