Making the Ultimate e30 M3 with Simon Lord from Redux

January 24, 2021
Chapter:
If you want the perfect vintage modern Porsche, you call Singer. If you want the ultimate Jaguar E-Type, then Eagle should be on your speed dial. But who do you contact for the ultimate “restomod” BMW? The answer is Simon Lord, founder of Redux. Simon is a former British Army officer with a passion for all things BMW E30 M3. His company is building a total of 30 fully restored and tastefully modified versions of what is globally recognized as being one of the greatest M cars BMW ever built. Redux aims to take BMW’s original concept - ‘Für die Straße veredelt’ ('modified for the street’) - and envision what BMW might have built after the Sport Evo model. Redux’s first M3 was delivered in 2019 to a lucky customer out West; the second build is due to be unveiled this summer, and is planned to be at the Monterey Car Week and showcase her to BMW CCA members. Join the BMW M Chapter for this month’s virtual meeting, where Simon will share with us an intimate look inside how his E30 M3 enthusiasm led him to found Redux, and to explain how it’s possible to incorporate 35 years of progress to build the ultimate “Ultimate Driving Machine” Sunday, 24th January at 12 Noon, Eastern.
