The Vintage 2020

October 22, 2020 to October 25, 2020
Started in 2004, this event, for vintage cars only, has grown into one of the largest gatherings in the world and includes a "retro" run, an open house at the BMWCCA Foundation and an all day gathering of vintage vehicles
The Vintage has been rescheduled to October 22-25 April 27, 2020 by The Vintage Webmeister New updates below. This is from Scott’s Facebook post. Join our Facebook group for additional updates. Check out the Find us on Facebook link here or to the right ——> Guten Tag Y’all,Well, all this Corona stuff has forced me to reschedule The Vintage 2020. OK, that’s all for the bad news, now the good news.New dates are: October 22-25, 2020. It doesn’t get any better than Fall in the Appalachian mountains. In fact “leaf-lookers” flock to the area each Autumn to take in the beautiful weather and fall color. More cool news: Since Hot Springs only had dates open in late August, so I did some more searching for a possible new venue. Trust me, you do not want to be in the late August heat of North Carolina….brutal!!!, plus I wanted to put as much time as possible between the current Corona related restrictions and a new date for The Vintage 2020 so that I can hopefully avoid rescheduling a second time. Then I remembered a guy named Steve who works at Mountain Air, and has been after me the past two years to give their venue a shot. What is their venue?OMG you won’t believe this place, it is a mountain top private airstrip located in Burnsville, NC (approx same distance from Asheville that Hot Springs was). You know I ALWAYS put an emphasis on having this event at an interesting venue, this could be the most amazing one yet!!! (plus we don’t have to worry about flooding). We will get to use the entire airstrip and plane parking area. Don’t worry they close the airstrip to air traffic. Before you say “oh man, I want it to be at Hot Springs again”, just tell yourself how cool this event has evolved with venue change to venue change over the years.Trust me on this one for sure. >>>This new venue is unique and there will be no spectators allowed. If you have a friend coming as a spectator, they will have to ride with you in your registered vintage BMW.<<< Thursday and Friday will not be changing, the fun rally on Thursday (starts at 1pm) and will end at a winery, and the Friday evening check-in at The Clarion is still on. I am checking with the BMW CCA Foundation to make sure we can still do the open house event thereon Friday.
