10th Anniversary Party and Car Show

After dinner, we will have an auction of great items with Wendie Martin as our auctioneer. Ten years ago from last July, I was standing in a Historic Car Races corral at Portland International Raceway, I came up with the idea of having to start a BMW CCA chapter. So in October 2009, I took a huge risk and held a meeting to gather BMW enthusiasts to talk about forming a new Oregon Chapter of the national BMW Car Club of America. After hours of spirited discussions, the decision was Yes! Very soon, many people volunteered to help set up the framework for the chapter, so we were on our way! Over the last 10 years, many dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers became board members and officers, who managed the operations and finances of the club, and who set up events, such as tours, social events, tech sessions, car shows, and road rallies. All of them helped to make our chapter one of the most innovative and successful in the nation! Our board consistently has about 15 members who contribute much of their time and effort to plan and run around 50 events a year! Hundreds of members have attended our events, making new friends and sharing memorable experiences. Please plan to join us for a very special celebration with your fellow Oregon Chapter members.
