Oktoberfest at German-American Society with the BMW Car Club

September 21, 2019
Join your fellow car club members as we attend Oktoberfest 2019 at the German-American Society in Omaha.
This event is a huge indoor and outdoor festival that is one of the best Oktoberfest events in the Midwest. On tap will be half a dozen of the best of this year’s Oktoberfest beers from Germany, as well as other selected beers from Germany and around the U.S., available around the festival site. The event will take place throughout the German-American Society’s facility, including inside in their many large rooms, halls, and bars, and outside under large tents; so it won’t matter if the weather is rain or shine. The event starts with a ceremonial tapping of a keg of Oktoberfest beer brewed by members of the German-American Society Homebrew Club, and then after a toast celebrated by the crowd, the festival will be in full swing. Authentic German food will be available for purchase, and you should plan on taking advantage of their outstanding offerings. You can bring your favorite beer mug if you have one that you would like to show off, or buy something that strikes your fancy from the selection of glassware that will be available at the festival for purchase. The German-American Society is located at 3717 South 120th Street in Omaha, Nebraska. Parking is available on the surrounding neighborhood streets, or follow the signs to the large parking lot at King of Kings Lutheran Church on “I” Street where a shuttle bus will transport you to and from the German-American Society. The admission fee for the event is $7.00 at the door. Our group will meet at 12:00 Noon inside the entrance to the German-American Society where we will be awaiting the ceremonial tapping of the keg. If you arrive later, look for us outside under the tents. You will recognize us by the BMW Car Club clothing that we will be wearing. Please join us, and wear your car club clothing!
