For those not familiar with Seagrove, it is a pottery paradise attracting visitors from around the country. Seagrove and the uniquely named hamlets which surround it house the nation’s largest community of potters. The type of pottery made from local red clay is highly varied. It includes crocks, pots, storage jars and the traditional jugs with human features, which gave the name “Jugtown” to the area. It is the perfect place for anyone interested in pottery.
