E92 Heated Seat Retrofit Kit for Sport Seats

Description
First, let me say that I am not a heated-seat retrofit expert. In fact, I have never executed a heated-seat retrofit. All I can say is that I have done a lot of research on heated-seat retrofit for a 2007 BMW E92 with sports seats. I believe I have assembled all of the necessary parts and information to do the retrofit, but I can’t guarantee it. The buyer should do their own research to determine if these parts will work for their vehicle. I never installed these on my car because a Chevy Tahoe decided to run a stop sign doing 40+ mph and wiped out the front of my car, totaling it. After reviewing the thread on E90post.com regarding retrofitting E9x cars with heated seats, I started collecting the necessary parts to equip my BMW E92 with heated front seats. Here is the link: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=192819&highlight=heated+seat+retrofit My car had fully automated sport seats with adjustable side bolsters, so these parts will not work with non-sport seats. My understanding at the time was that the heating elements were not offered in the US as a separate part, but they were offered in Europe. I bought the heating elements from a vendor in the UK and he also provided the wiring harnesses and the instruction bulletins for removing the seats. The heating elements are a new BMW part, but the wiring harnesses are not a BMW part. In addition to the heating elements, the control modules mounted under each seat must be changed to accept the heating elements. The new wiring harnesses connect to the new control modules. I bought the control modules, used, on ebay and they have not been tested. These control modules are for fully automated sport seats with memory, adjustable side bolsters and heat. The console panel must be swapped out with one that includes the switches for the heated seats. If your vehicle has other options included on the console, you will need a different console panel. Also, once everything is installed, the vehicle will have to coded for heated seats. I believe these heating elements will work on other models equipped with sport seats, but the control modules and console panel may not. Needless to say, if your E9x came with heated sport seats, but no longer work because of damaged heating elements, all you would need to do is swap out the heating elements.
