Description
1998 M3 Sedan in Alpine White with a black interior. Very well maintained, 2nd adult owner, 117.5k miles, 5 speed manual, all maintenance records, non-smoker, no track. Clean, reliable, and a ball to drive. Black leather interior, power sunroof, power seats, heated seats, folding rear seats, power mirrors, power locks, power windows, cruise, climate control, BMW Harman Kardon sound system, trunk-mounted CD changer, traction control, trip computer, factory alarm and BMW Contour wheels.
I’ve added over $5,000 worth of upgrades, including a BMW CD43 radio, 3-spoke ’99 M3 steering wheel (I have the original as well), BMW Motorsport floating rotors, Axxis PBR Metal Master brake pads, UUC short shifter and transmission mounts, Z3 steering rack, Bilstein sport struts & shocks, Eibach springs and sway bars, HD shock mounts, Shark injector, K&N filter, Stromung cat-back stainless exhaust (http://www.stromungexhaust.com/e-36-325i328-m-3-rear-muffler.html), X-brace, strut tower brace, Zionsville aluminum radiator, new metal water pump and T-stat housing, CDV delete, Red Line fluids, and clear signal lenses.( I’ll include all of the original lights as well.)
It has many new parts, including plugs, filters, fluids, belts, fan clutch, hoses, brake and fuel lines, idler pulleys, alternator, secondary air valve, HVAC blower “final stage”, exhaust hangers, RTAB, strut tower bearings, front lower control arms (with poly bushings), tie rods, rear ball joints, camshaft position sensor, valve cover gaskets, VANOS seals, Guibo, steering shaft U-joint, headliner and battery. Tires are excellent (Michelin Pilot Sport 4S) with low miles. It also has a fairly new BMW windshield due to stone and sand chips in the old one.
This is a clean, well cared for, well documented, garaged, adult driven, hard to find M3 sedan. It’s got great power, great handling and awesome brakes. It gets about 23MPG in mixed driving, 27MPG on the highway, and drives smooth and straight, with no pull or vibration It’s reliable, burns no oil and everything works (except the AC right now. I have a new condenser and dryer which I will be replacing).
I did have a fender bender about 20 years ago. It was relatively minor (driver's-side front fender and fog light) and was repaired by the local BMW dealer. Otherwise, it has all original paint that is in good condition.
The interior is almost like new, with a recent headliner replacement. No issues with the shifter, windows, torn seats or drooping headliner as many of these cars do. The modifications are tasteful and improve the driving experience, while maintaining an almost stock look. It's a lot of fun for the money!
I have both of the original keys with remotes that work, as well as the valet key and all of the original receipts and manuals. It also comes with a fitted car cover and all of the original parts. I’m a car fanatic and 30+ year BMWCCA member. I’ve owned this car for almost 23 years and am only selling it to try something new before I’m too darned old. I really love this car and will miss it dearly. $18,500 OBO. More pictures available upon request. Clean title in hand. NO TRADES please.
