Greetings, hard to make this listing as I am letting my awesome, reliable, and beautiful 1995 BMW in Avus Blue go.
I did the oil change, 4/25/2024.
She has 83,400 original and documented miles. 5 speed manual. Original Dove Vader seats. Clean CA title, in my ownership.
When I saw this car back in March 2022. I knew I had to have it. I had one in 2013 that I loved and adored every minute of it, until a high school teenager crashed into me and car was declared a total loss. Mine at the time had 198,000 miles and E36 M3’s unfortunately weren’t as desirable as they are now.
Had been trying to find another well sorted, well driving, honest Avus blue since then.
I found this one tucked away, car wasn’t listed for sale. I asked around on the forums, and it lead me to the kind owner.
I bought it with no intention of selling it but, I lost my parking space of many years, as my neighbors that were kind to lend me theirs moved, so she gets parked on the street.
1995 is in my opinion the best year as it is the desirable OBD1, and has no traction control. Also, pre side airbags. Less gremlins that can pop up.
I have a whole binder or service documentation and all the original things that come with the car. Spare tire, tools, owner manuals, glovebox flashlight, and three keys.
The car currently has a brand new set of BBS LM on them that I paid $4255 from System Motorsports out in Hayward CA.
I also, have a set of the OEM contours.
I do have some miscellaneous spare items/ parts that will accommodate the car.
Avus blue has its kind of own cult following, such as the eccentric purples, and yellows.
I love Avus, it is a gorgeous color and they only made about 1000 or so for the North American Market in 1995.
The S50 engines are some of the most robust and reliable inline six engineering. There is a reason these engines go up to 200,000 plus miles.
Also, this is a ALL- VIN matching car, however it has had some paintwork done.
Of course, being metallic paint, worst enemy. Rock chips from the california highways.
I get a lot of compliments when I go out with the car. Lots of thumbs up, makes me feel good about owning such an iconic car, the E36 M3, and in the famous early production colors, AVUS BLUE METALLIC.
