This exceptional 1999, S52 powered, M Roadster is in excellent condition (#2) with only 63,813 very cared for miles and diligent maintenance. The clean CarFax report lists registrations in California (original dealer destination from Spartanburg), Washington, and Illinois, prior to my purchase. I relocated the car to eastern Pennsylvania where it is always garaged and covered with a custom fit indoor cover by California Car Cover Co. The M Roadster is finished in Alpine White with Imola Red and Nappa Black leather interior. This striking combination represents only 1% of the entire first-generation M Roadster North American production run (S52 & S54) from 1998 through 2002! Enhancing this color palette is a tastefully done black painted hood which pays homage to the 327/328 Sports Convertibles, Roadsters, Cabriolets, and Coupes of the pre-WWII era where polychromatic paint schemes enhanced the lines of the design projecting speed! This M Roadster also includes updates including: front strut brace, Magnaflow exhaust, cold-air intake, rear spoiler and splitter/diffuser, LED angel eye halo projector headlights, 18” wheels with Dunlop Direzza ZIII extreme performance summer tires: f. 225/40R18 88W, r. 265/35R18 93W, (manufactured 12/21). Complimenting the performance enhancements are a classic wood steering wheel and Kenwood Stereo with Bluetooth. I have owned many classic cars over time and never formally showed any of them. Last summer I took the plunge and entered the 2023 Deutsche Classic, the mid-Atlantic’s Premier all German show. Out of the hundreds of Mercedes, Porsches, BMWs, Audis, and VWs on hand, my M Roadster won second in class sandwiched between a ’94 850ci and ’76 2002! This M Roadster is special. It draws a crowd everywhere I go, and when underway, I cannot wipe the smile off my face! As Jackie Jouret proclaims in her book, BMW Z cars Roadsters and Coupes, A design and development history, the popularity of the first generation of M Roadsters were “certainly a success for [such] a highly specialized high-performance sports car.” It is time for me to share this car with the next owner. Included in the purchase price are the custom indoor car cover, wind screen, service records, 2 keys, manuals, etc. I will also consider assisting the buyer with shipping costs if necessary.
