Some of you may remember the story; it wasn’t that long ago, Presidents Day Weekend 2016. I was still daily-driving my Suburban with the resurrected brake lines. The ’Burb was only still running because it had borrowed a volume of sheer will from my soul.

As a driver who is always trying to improve, having a data system of some sort in the car is always a key component for me. In professional racing, we have all the highest-tech data systems that have sensors on every part of the car, reading and obtaining loads of information through every inch of the race track.

I promise that I’m not going to make a career out of writing about the Rialta, the one-size-larger-than-a-Westfalia Volkswagen Eurovan-based mini-RV that I bought a couple of weeks ago.

Want to go racing, but don’t have a lot of money or talent? Then look no further than the 24 Hours of Lemons! The BFE GP was held at High Plains Raceway last month. The relaxed atmosphere, hilarious cars, and intense racing make for a weekend of automobile shenanigans found nowhere else.

Last week I regaled you with my four simple requirements for an RV: It needed to run. It should cost me as little as possible. It could not be a fool’s errand, and Maire Anne had to be willing to sleep with me in it. If her first reaction to something I dragged home was “Ick!” it would mean that I had screwed up big time.
