I have a 98 M roadster and the key fob remotes quit working. I installed new batteries and now when the "activate" or lock button is pushed I get a chirp. However the car fails to lock. When the unlock or de-activated button is pushed I get two chirps and nothing else happens. I did the programming according to the manual and get the same negative results. Any suggestions.
