My rear windows make a loud knock when they close. I've been told the window regulator is the culprit. The new part is nearly $300. Any way to fix the existing part? Eric Schumacher 2002 525i
I have replaced the window regulators on all four windows of my 1998 528i. When they begin to click the bracket housing has worn through. All the BMW certified techs I've spoken to say you can continue to use the windows, but regulators will eventually fail. You can buy the OEM part from autopartswarehouse.com for 167.00
