Which year what to look for?

Hi there. I currently own a 2002 E39 525i sport touring. Would love to find an M Coupe to put in the driveway next to it. What years seem to be the best? What are the week points? Are there any good Roundel articles that might be useful in my search? Thanks

I think Z3 M Coupes might be kinda slim pickins these days. Are you finding many on the market?

You looking for a s54 right? Like garrison said these are slim pickings and the price on a good one just keeps going up. I would look for a 2001 or above if you can.
