Hello all: I just picked up an 09 M3 coupe with 1300k on it and I absolutely love it. With that said... I am sure the honeymoon will come to an end and I will want to make her run faster. I have heard that a chip will not only void the warranty but actually flag the VIN number on the vehicle? I am not sure who to contact at BMW for the "official" word on the warranty but I really want to know what I can do to the vehicle without voiding the warranty. Anyone have some facts and/or ideas???
Well, Dinan upgrades are almost certain not to void the warranty. In fact, Dinan warranties their products and fully tests each thing they sell to make sure that it in no way voids factory warranty and functions properly (isn't a piece of eBay junk). If you want to mod your car and are worried about voiding the warranty, I don't see how you could go wrong with Dinan. Of course their stuff is expensive, but very rightly so. Also, if you have an M3, I don't think that's much of a factor. lol Happy moddin'!
