OK, just drove the new 7 , it's delectable. Now, will a new Blackberry Tour from Verizon work? And will it work with my 2007 750i? BMW NA says no. Dealer says maybe, but may stop anytime, no guarantees Verizon has no idea. My son's Blackberry Storm from Verizon paired right up to my 2007 750i. What's the deal here? Do I now have to chose a car that works with my phone? The BMW approved Verizon phone list is old phones. My Mercedes has no problem pairing up with any phone we currently have.

Try it in the dealership before you buy.

You did buy the phone already, didn't you?

If you haven't already, buy the phone first. If it doesn't work, in many cases, Verizon will let you trade the phone -- a much easier proposition than bringing back an $80K - $100K+ BMW automobile.

Make sure you test the phone in the same model car you intend to buy. It's entirely possible to have different model cars using different bluetooth systems under the same brand and model year. Mercedes is living proof of this.
