My '05 330ci has a weak factory bluetooth mic -- people have trouble understanding me, even with the top up. I ordered the new, improved mic, part number xxx762, but it doesn't fit. The new mic has improved noise cancelling and amplification.The later (04-06) E46 convertibles have the mic relocated from over the top of the windshield to the top of the steering column. Unfortunately, the new rectangular mic does not fit the steering column, which uses a different shaped mic. Does anyone know of a retrofit for these microphones, or another trick to improve voice quality?
