I recently purchased an x1 xDrive28i in the Nashville Tn. area. I plan to use it to tow my motorcycle with. Does anyone know if anyone sells hitches for this vehicle yet?

    Thanks,
    Pat

What does the dealer tell you?

Sorry for the slow response. The dealer in Nashville said that a hitch wasn't available yet and might not be for a year. He didn't mention anything about its availability in other parts of the world. At this point, I'm trying to identify available aftermarket products.

Disappointing - seems a bit shortsighted on BMW's part to bring the X1 here, having had it in Europe already for awhile, and not be offering a hitch. You'd think they would have one long before bringing it stateside, surely the far-side-o'-the-pond folks would have been wanting to tote stuff around too. Da'lan has been a manufacturer of aftermarket BMW hitches, but I kinda doubt the U.S. aftermarket would have an offering so quickly for a brand new model. You might search the German Ebay and see what turns up, you can use google translate to try different words for trailer and or hitch to search German Ebay.

Whether that might do whatcha need, I haven't a clue - but, it's a lead, if you can figure out who makes it. Or, maybe see if the seller can communicate to you in English, or, maybe, you know some German and can make it work. Not sure if google translate is good enough to translate emails....
