Greetings! I have just become the owner of a 2004 530i 6 speed, sports package, and am really enjoyng its outstanding performance (compared to my beloved '85 535i). I have a question on tire pressure. The tire combination I have seems a bit unusual and does not fit the specs on the door guide. Front: 245/40R 18 93Y Rear: 245 40R 18 93W The front tires are not even listed on the door jamb, and the rear tires seem to be referenced for the front. My Dealer suggested 38 psi for all the wheels. This seems a bit high, perhaps? I am in Virginia where it is usually 90 degrees most days. 1. Thoughts on optimal tire pressure? 2. Is this the optimal combination of tires? Thanks for any advice!
