I bought a 2005 330Ci last summer after deciding that my 2003 Carrerra 4 Convertible was just downright painful on some of the roads in Montana (the C4 may have had a sports suspension--but I could never get a definitive answer on that even from 2 Porsche dealers).
The 330 is a great ride but I miss the acceleration of the C4 (and my 2001 Audi s4 avant is quite a bit snappier also). I was steered away from an M3 convertible by a Porsche mechanic who said he thought I'd find the suspension and ride of the M3 just as bone jarring as the C4--and being in Montana makes it difficult to test drive different models. Now I'm second guessing my decision. Do any of you have experience with the 330 and M3's on rough roads?
    Thanks,

    John
