Has anyone had any bad issues with their SULEV 325i ???? I have read some stuff on other sites that could raise one's Blood Pressure. Just wondering if that's over reacting. I am a new (2nd) owner of an '03 325i SULEV and have noted some differences between the m54 and m56 motors.
The only 'real' issue I have now, is that the sunshade on the moon roof is wonky and sticks. That I can deal with. Everything else is great on this car. very pleased….

Any recommendations for BMW shops in the Monterey Bay/ Santa Cruz area ????

To be honest the SULEV vehicles are not really to bad. Any they have a longer emission warranty than most cars and a lot of other components covered as well. I really wouldn't worry to much yes it is more expensive than a standard 3 series to repair because of parts. The sunshade can be a easy fix sound like the slider clips broken majority of the time all you need to do is removed the glass and replace the clips and clean the track. But sometimes the whole slider is broke and that is a bit more extensive. As for the shop recommendations I would ask your chapter members they would know for sure who is good.
