I recently picked up a 1986 325e in great shape. Just replaced the interior with a really clean set of tan non-sport seats (got em for cheap!) and was ready to buff her today but woke up to snow in the Boston area. It is an exact replica of the very same car I had when I was 17. My first BMW relived! Awesome car.. When the car starts, it runs great. Idles high but I have a replacement ICV and Module for that. No issues there. Here's the scoop. When it starts, runs great... Sometimes it wont start though. Turns over fine, everything on the dash lights up. Just cranks over and doesn't kick. Recently did the fuel pump, filter, swapped out the ECU and also changed up the fuel pump relay. Worked on my e28 when I had same problems but this time nothing. Other BMW heads have told me it may be the crankshaft position sensor. Anyone have experience with replacing these? I'm told it's easy. Any help is greatly appreciated.
