i recently purchased a e46 m3 with about 115k on the clock. The car came with a K&N filter, There`s no gaps in the gasket for air leaks could it be the filter or do i need a MAF sensor and i dont get any codes. Im thinking of putting back the factory air intake housing back in.Can any help thanks cause im out of breath lol.
Check boots on both sides of he air flow sensor... We had an issue with rough operation and it turned out to be the boots... when we went to take them off to inspect them my son's fingers went right through the boot on the engine side it was so bad. Your mileage is similar to his. Chuck
