I have a 2006 525xi and I recently changed the spark plugs & micro-filters myself, then had the oil and brake fluid done by a local shop that works on imported cars. I had to reset all of the service requests, which I did with out any issue, but the mileage on the reset items will not decrease. For example; I've had 100,000 miles left for my spark plugs for about 7,000 miles. It tells me the view the remaining miles above but I have nothing above to look at. Would like to get this resolved.

I reset the oil and it gave me 16,000 miles but the best oil I can use only gives me 7,500. Any thoughts?

Would anyone recommend the K&N Engine Air Filter?

All that leaves is the State Inspection and Emissions Inspection. Is there a way to find a local shop that can do this or do I have to go to my BMW Dealer?

I know this is a mouth full but these are the questions that I couldn't find myself.

I'm sure someone would but what's wrong with the original Purolator/Knecht/BMW? There's not controversy over whether or not they pass dirt.
