Is there somewhere that I can look at what "BMW" wheels will fit on my new 335i coupe? I have seen the ones in the accessory catalog for the 3 series but I am wondering if BMW has any others that would fit on the car.
look on the bmw web site under performance add ons for 335i coupe-there ar 19 inch rims-a;so dinan offers rims(very expensive)
I am on the phone with BMW right now and they can't seem to locate any 18" wheels for the 335i on their website. My parts guy told me about Style #: 197 152 216 and 193 Anyone have any pictures of these? The parts dept only had line drawings.
I would think that they'd be compatible... I checked realoem.com and they don't list anything after 2006 either. This is what that search came up with: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partgrp.do?model=WB73&mospid=49514&hg=36&fg=15 There are a lot of rims listed on there. I'm sure that they'd fit; some of them are used on the new models as well.
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partgrp.d...14&hg=36&fg=15 This is a great website. It looks like the one my parts dude pulled up at the dealer. Can someone tell me the difference between: BMW LA Wheel BMW Light Alloy wheel BMW BMW Alloy Wheel BMW Composite Wheel I assume (I know no assuming) LA and Light Alloy are the same but there must be a reason why one is called LA and one is called Light Alloy, no? I find that the stock wheels that come on the new cars have a dull finish. I want a wheel that has some shine to it. If I'm going to wash my car, I want the whole entire car, wheels included, to shine.
I don't know what the difference is between those. If you want something shiny, then chrome is the only thing I could think of, and I can't think of anything more ghastly. lol (Sorry - this coming from someone who hates chrome so much, he spray painted the trim round the windows black knowing he'll have to respray them when it wears off)
Does it have to be a BMW wheel? you can go to places like tirerack.com and see lots of wheels that will fit your car in lots of styles. The site even shows you what they look like on your car! You can get a lot of wheel for what BMW charges for thiers.... Matt
you can get your wheels refinished to look like new or better for a fraction of the cost of a new set. ive noticed that the ones called composite tend to have that 2pc look. i think the other three are just different evolutions of the same thing.
Circle BMW's Rim Catalog is searchable by model - here is everything for the E9x's http://www.circlebmw.com/parts/rim.htm I put the 193's on mine - love them!
