I put my beast away for the winter and started it only a couple of times. The other day I decided to get it going again. The engine started almost immediately, however I can't get the rpm to go over 1,500 rpm. I'm guessing some kind of throttle body issue, but not exactly sure. It had 10 gallons of gas in it (I put stabil in it when I put it away) so I limped it to the gas station and filled it with premium. That didn't help much other than I am now getting some greyish white smoke coming out the tail pipe. Could this be water in the tank? I opened up the throttle bodies manually a few times to see if that helped. but it really didn't. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
the end result was the throttle bodies were stuck. After driving the car and running it for a few hours at a time, they eventually freed up. Thought you all may want to know. Dave
